WALK GRADING

We follow the Bushwalking NSW grading system.

Grade 1 (Easy): Easy walking, mostly on well signposted tracks. Tracks are level, distances less than 10 km.

Grade 2 (Easy-Medium): Mostly on well marked tracks, not steep. Distance less than 15 km.

Grade 3 (Medium): Much of it on tracks, often with some steep sections or rougher terrain, could be entirely off track. Distance less than 20 km, suitable for fit beginners.

Grade 4 (Medium-Hard): Off track or long distance walk. Tracks could be steep and there may be some rock scrambling. Suitable for fit people with some experience.

Grade 5 (Hard): Off track and/or difficult terrain. Rock scrambling or creek walking. Walks may be short but difficult, or up to 30 km long. Not suitable for beginners.
